MANAGING THE CANOPY FOR TOP
QUALITY FRUIT
In addition to using deficit irrigation practices and
ground cover, the canopy is managed using a Collard rotary trimmer to
ensure 36" - 42" long shoots, balanced vines and good air circulation
and spray penetration. Good canopy management also ensures that fruit
is partially exposed to sunlight.

Note the clean vertical canopy allowing for good fruit exposure to sunlight
and good air circulation.
Carefully managing the canopy throughout
the growing season ensures the following:

- 36" to 42" shoots
