“Le Grand-père” – French: The Grandfather, head of the family, worldly and elegant. Has great taste and loves life.
Rocky sloping mountain soils together with sunny days and cool nights have created this lovely concentrated yet elegant blend of Rhone grape varietals from our estate vineyards.
Seductively dark purple in color, this wine boasts intense aromas of earthy blackberries, black currants and spices. On the palate it is both concentrated and velvety with strong blackberry, hints of oak and a soft lingering finish.
The complexity and elegance of this wine pairs well with classic French cuisine such as sautéed lamb with garlic and thyme, braised beef, roast leg of lamb and fine French sauces. Only 5 barrels produced.
